Our Food Contact Compliance Methodology

1. EVALUATION

Assess supporting documentation and composition compliance to positive lists (monomers and additives) of national and international laws.

2. PLANNING

Draft compositional migration plans into simulants, additives, metals release, colorants, NIAS (not intentionally added substances), residual solvent and set-off.

3. TESTING

Perform sensory evaluation according to Robinson’s test or classical olfactory and taste organoleptic tests as defined in UNI 10192 and DIN 10955

4. REPORTING

Provide support and draft Declaration of Compliance for food contact material.

Legislation Requirements for NIAS & GRAS

Unitec helps you satisfy legislation requirements for the presence of not intentionally added substances (NIAS) into food contact materials or packaging for food contact. We apply tested analytical methods to qualify and to quantify many chemical species that may be present due to molecular degeneration, cross-contamination or other unidentified causes, and always commit the material or article application field–if so regarded–as Generally Recognized as Safe.
